The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations in a yard and should be a responsible and detail-oriented individual who is able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude. This position reports directly to the Shop Manager.
Compensation Based on Experience
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and followed
• Maintain inventory of small equipment and supplies
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain records and reports on yard activities
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed
• Monitor stocking levels and order inventory as required based on usage of small equipment and parts.
• Oversee maintenance on small equipment related to the yard and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the yard, parking areas and/or buildings.
• Maintain an orderly yard with equipment stored in proper locations for easy access, and reasonably protected from the elements, as may be appropriate.
• Ensure all small equipment and tools are inspected for damage; and repair or have them repaired as required. Tag equipment that is broken or worn as “out-of-service” while repairs are in process or scheduled.
• Ensure that routine maintenance on all small equipment is being performed.
• Schedules for warranty work and routine maintenance and inspections for small equipment, as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Class B License – preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside-weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

401K - The company will match your dollar for dollar up to the first 1% then $.50 on the dollar on the next 5%. So, if you wanted to take full advantage of the match, you would have to put in 6% to be matched 3.5%.
